I recently visited Cafe France in Jemaa El Fna Square in Marrakech, and I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is simply delightful, with its charming decor and the lively atmosphere of the square just outside. As for the food and beverages, I must say, they exceeded my expectations. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the pastries were a delightful treat. What stood out the most for me was the friendly and attentive staff. They made me feel very welcome and added to the overall positive experience. I can't wait to return to Cafe France for another delightful visit.
We ate upstairs on the terrace Service was a bit slow, but that really doesn't matter as there is always something to watch in the square. The roast chicken was dry, but the lemon chicken was much better & very tasty.
There are a lot of negative reviews regarding this place but I honestly don’t have a bad word to say about our experience here. Staff were excellent. Food was soo nice and the view was great. We expected bill to be much higher and assumed this place would be a tourist trap but it was infact the opposite.
Nice terrace with a view over the square. Waiters were friendly but service was a bit slow. Pizza was fine for Maroccan standards. You should just stick to the tajine!
Can’t talk for any of the food or staying at the hotel! Went there to watch a soccer match with the Moroccan national team, and the atmosphere was perfect! Super packed, windows and doors to the front so you could only access from the side! Morocco won, amazing match!
Loved sitting on the terrace with a mint tea watching all the goings on in the market below, then back into the soukes with nearly 16000 stalls you'll never do it all!.
Had breakfast here and it was a great experience. Service was good and the rooftop area was very nice - had a great view of the medina.
Mainly came here for the view. We got lucky and was able to sit on the balcony with a good of the square below. There are a few more hotel restaurants around the square that gives you different view/angle of the square. This one was from the side and had the shortest wait so we opted for this one. We got there just as it was getting dark so it was nice to see the square get busier with tourists/locals coming to eat the food market/sales booth opening up. It is a nice view with decent food.
